Chapter 12
• Imagine a world without color. What color would you miss most? I would miss blue because everything that has great value to me is blue like the family sapphire my grandmother own or the blue seas of the world or even my favorite fish so basicly i cannot live without the colour blue.
• What value, if any, is there to Sameness? There is some value and some worthlessness the part i like about sameness is that no one can show off and say that they have better things than you because it really makes some people really feel bad about themselves,but on the other hand it is also good because it represents you or your family as a special individual.
Chapter 13
• Do you agree with Jonas that people have to be protected from wrong choices? Yes and no because if people are not given a right choice there would be chaos because (for example)if a country were to chose the wrong decision it would impact the citizens the most and the country will collapse completely.On the other hand its good because people could change the world with their decisions.
• As Jonas continues his training, he often finds himself angry with his groupmates and his family. Why? Because he is frustrated by the fact that his friends and family cannot see the beauty that he sees(colour).
• The Giver says that without memories, knowledge is meaningless. What does he mean? It means that without memories of the past we would have never learned from our mistakes, like when we had our first steps we would have definately tripped so we go back to the time when that happened and change the mistake we did wrong.So that is what the Giver means you may be well educated but remembering your mistakes will take you to the next level.
